In Santa Pola there is a beautiful boulevard all the way to the harbour. There are many shops, cafes and restaurants on this boulevard. Just to the north you will find the coastal town of Gran Alacant , a quiet residential area with little traffic. The houses are built in a green zone above sea level, between the mountains and the beach of Carabasí, and therefore offer beautiful views of the coast.
The coastal strip in this region is very varied; beautiful rocky cliffs, beautifully sheltered bays, long sandy beaches and a fossil reef. The most beautiful beach is Playa de Carabassi north of Santa Pola. The beach is surrounded by dunes, salt pans and marshland and is popular with families because the beach slopes gently into the sea.
There are several small shopping centers in this region. A large shopping center is located on the CV-92 (formerly N332), on the edge of Gran Alacant. The weekly market is here on Thursdays and in the neighboring village of Santa Pola every Monday and Saturday.
The large city of Elche is about 20 kilometers away.

Climate in Santa Pola
Due to the Mediterranean climate, Santa Pola has an ideal temperature, with averages of up to 25°C in August and only 12°C in January. For most of the year the weather resembles that of spring. This part of the Costa Blanca has been declared the healthiest area in the world by the World Health Organization. The average annual temperature is 20 degrees and it is therefore not surprising that many people buy a second home here.
