Aguilas
Águilas is located in the most southern tip of the Costa Cálida. It is a former Roman fishing port. Off the coast lies the island of Isla del Fraile, where traces and ruins from this Roman past can still be found. In 1579 on a high rock between Poniente and Levante beaches, the fortress of San Juan de las Águilas was built to defend the city against invaders.
