Christmas markets in Spain
17.12.2019In Spain there are cozy Christmas markets in most cities. You may not drink hot chocolate or mulled wine in the sun here (although it can sometimes be quite cold in Spain), but you can find delicious treats, Christmas decorations and many more Christmas-related products.
Christmas market in Alicante
- Casa de Papa Noel, In the city of Alicante the house of Santa Claus has been opened again since November 30th. The children can come along with their parents to meet Santa Claus until December 24, Nochebuena.
- The Feria de Rabasa (on the Rabasa site along the highway) is in Alicante between November 30 and January 26, 2020. There are more than 100 activities and stalls to be found.
- In the Plaza de Toros there is also a skating rink from November 30 to January 6, 2020.
- Between 20 and 29 December at 7.30 pm, 8.30 pm and 9.30 pm (except 24 December), a video mapping show will take place at Plaza del Ayuntamiento with beautiful video images and a Christmas story projected at the town hall.
Christmas market in Elche
- Just like other years, there is also a Christmas market in Elche under the name "El Mercat de Nadal de Elche". This can be found on the Plaza de la Glorieta where there are more than 20 stalls that are open between December 5 and January 6, 2020.
- In addition to the Christmas market on the Plaza de la Glorieta there is also a Christmas market at the fountain on the Paseo de la Estación where you can also find a skating rink for skating on the Costa Blanca. The skating rink is open from December 6, while the Christmas items can only be purchased from December 20. Here too Santa Claus has his own "Casa de Papa Noel" that opens on December 22, 23 and 24.
Christmas market in Alcoy
- Be sure to take a look at the puppet show of the nativity scene El Betlem de Tirisiti, which is considered interesting for tourists.
- Christmas market in Orihuela
- From December 18 and 24 there is a Christmas market at the Glorieta Gabriel Miro in Orihuela. Santa visits the Christmas market during the parade on December 22 and 23 in Orihuela Costa and the old center of Orihuela. There are also several activities that have to do with Christmas in the city.
Christmas market in Ibi
- On December 13, 14 and 15, Ibi does not celebrate a Christmas market but more a Three-Kings market with the Mercado de Los Reyes Magos. This takes place at the Plaza de la Libertad in Ibi with many stalls, gastronomy and activities.
Christmas market in Benidorm
- Christmas is also celebrated in the coastal town of Benidorm with many activities for young and old, including a house of Santa Claus but also with a Christmas market between December 1 and January 6, 2020 in the Parque de Elche park.
Christmas market in Benijofar
- On Thursday 12 December from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. you can go to the delicias butcher shop for a cozy Christmas market.
Christmas market in Almoradi
- Christmas market from 13 to 15 December on the plaza de la constitucion from 10 am.
Christmas market in Formentera
- Christmas market in front of the town hall on Sunday 15 December with around 50 exhibitors from 12 noon
Christmas market in Los Montesinos
- Christmas market in Avenida de la Marquesa (near the church) from 13 to 15 December.
- Saturday December 14 at 7:45 pm opening of the Christmas scene at the centro civico (municipal square)
Christmas market in Orihuela Costa
- In the shopping center "La Zenia" there is a cozy Christmas atmosphere and there are many activities for children on the program until 6 January.
Christmas market in Torrevieja
- In the Habaneras shopping center you can visit the Christmas house until 5 January between 5 and 9 pm, except on 24.31 December and 5 January between 12 and 2 pm. Children can make their letter for the Reyes Magos or show their musical talent on the gigantic piano. There is also a stand for the animal shelter and an information point where you can deposit toys or food for the less fortunate
